Where each nut comes from
Sourced from people
we actually know.
No anonymous commodity blends. Every nut in the pack has a documented origin and a partner we can name.
Most snack brands don't tell you where the nuts come from because they don't always know. Commodity nut markets blend supplies across countries, brokers, and seasons. The bag on the shelf could contain almonds from three continents and you'd never know.
We do it differently. Two of our nuts come from named California family farms. The other three come through a transparent superfoods partner who documents the origin of every lot. Either way, when you ask where a specific nut came from, we have an answer on file.
Almonds
Burroughs Family Farms
Denair, California
A multigenerational family operation in California's Central Valley and one of the only Regenerative Organic Certified almond growers in the United States. Practices include cover cropping, integrated livestock grazing, water stewardship, and soil-building methods that go well past standard organic certification.
We chose Burroughs because regenerative organic is the highest legitimate standard in agriculture right now. Not just "not synthetic" but actively rebuilding soil and ecosystem health.
Pistachios
Setton Farms
Terra Bella, California
In the heart of California's pistachio belt. We have a direct grower relationship with Setton Farms, not a distributor link in the middle. That means we know exactly where the nuts come from, how they're handled, what season they were harvested, and the people behind the process.
Setton Farms has documented sustainability practices on record: 135 million gallons of water reclamation annually, 1.7 megawatts of solar generation, and 100% biomass energy for processing.
Walnuts · Cashews · Brazil Nuts
Terrasoul Superfoods
Multiple origins · Transparent partner
Terrasoul is a superfoods importer and partner who documents the origin of every lot they handle. We work with them for the nuts in our blend that don't come from a single named U.S. farm, and we appreciate that they tell us where every batch is from rather than hiding it.
Our walnuts come through Terrasoul too, steam-pasteurized and documented by lot. Cashews come from Vietnam, recognized globally as the top quality region for processed cashews. Brazil nuts cannot be commercially farmed; they're wild-harvested from old-growth Amazon rainforest by indigenous community cooperatives, where the trees depend on a specific orchid bee for pollination and a specific rodent for seed dispersal. Every Brazil nut you have ever eaten was picked up off the forest floor by hand.
Every lot has a Letter of Continuing Guarantee on file. If you ever want to know where a specific bag's nuts came from, we have a paper trail.
